Though fall is officially upon us, MRG taps Chow Lee to breathe new life into "Chanclas", a standout summer record from his latest album It's MRG Not Mr. G. Released today (10/3/2025) on all digital streaming platforms via EMPIRE, "Chanclas 2" adds a verse from the Long Island native and sexy drill pioneer, fresh off tour with Cash Cobain. Produced by one of the sexy drill movement's co-pioneers, WhoJiggi (known for his work on Cobain and Bay Swag's hit “FIsherr”), "Chanclas 2" showcases MRG's ability to effortlessly blend English and Spanish with his melodic rap flows and clever wordplay. The fun Jaye Thompson-directed music video, debuted this morning, matches the chill summer vibes of the song.
“It was great bringing together two of my label mates for this remix. Me and WhoJiggi had already made a couple records together, and we both felt Chow Lee would sound perfect on this joint. We all been moving in similar circles for a while, so it was only a matter of time before we got one in. We each represent New York in our own way, and it was dope to bring that energy together on the same track. Shooting the video felt like a celebration it was a lit day with good people, great vibes, and a record we knew was going to go crazy” - MRG
