Blueberry Cupcakes: A Delicious Twist with a Meaningful Mission

The Blueberry Cupcakes
The Blueberry Cupcakes

Born from the ashes of auto-tuned apathy, The Blueberry Cupcakes are a five-piece sonic rebellion on a mission to bring rock and roll back to its rebellious roots. Formed in 2021, this Kolkata-based band is all about making music that’s loud, meaningful, and unapologetically bold. Their songs aren’t just for listening—they’re battle cries against the world’s injustices, from love and loss to the fight for social change.

The Cupcakes don’t play background music. Each riff, beat, and lyric challenges complacency, shining a light on the broken systems and fake smiles that dominate today’s world. With a sound that merges rock, rebellion, and raw emotion, they are resurrecting the spirit of protest rock—and it’s more relevant now than ever.

Their journey began in the small town of Naihati, where childhood friends and musicians collided to form what we now know as The Blueberry Cupcakes. With influences from rock & roll legends and a desire to make music that truly matters, the band brings a fresh sound that will wake you up and make you question everything.

🔥 Current Projects:

The band has already released two singles, “Suddenly” (2023) and “Breathe” (2025), with a debut EP, “Passing Show”, scheduled for Dec 2025. Their upcoming music explores themes of love, longing, inner peace, and societal injustice. They’re also working on their next politically charged EP, tackling the issues of modern society head-on.
