A new film festival will be making its debut in Lawton, Oklahoma. It’s called “Great Plains Film Festival” and it’ll be held at the Vaska Theater on September 17-19, 2021.
At the festival, we will screen a wide variety of films including narrative shorts and features, documentary short and features, high school films and university films. Also, we will have awards to hand out. It’ll be like any other award show with awards for Best Actor, Actress, Director, Best short film and so on, but we will have two new awards: Best Newcomer and Best New Filmmaker. Great Plains will be a place where experienced filmmakers and new filmmakers get to show off their hidden talents and be recognized for them.
With the support from the people within the film community, it will be a success.
