From top New York high school baseball prospect to making waves in the music industry, it’s been a long journey for Queens, New York native MRG. With two projects, several viral hits, and a co-sign from Timbaland, the bilingual Dominican-American emcee has been delivering rhymes in both English and Spanish with unmatched style and clarity since 2014. MRG's distinctive musical approach blends influences from Bad Bunny, Daddy Yankee, J Cole, and Nas.

MRG released his debut project Live From The Hurst in December 2017. The six-track EP features the standout track "Like I'm Lonzo," a DJ Mostwanted production where MRG raps about challenging corporate dominance over artists and athletes. In the summer of 2018, MRG left his corporate IT job to pursue music full-time. Since the release of Live From The Hurst 2 in 2019, MRG has garnered millions of streams, received co-signs from industry icons like Zion (of the Latin Pop duo Zion Y Lennox), and gained support from New York radio giants HOT 97 and Power 105.1. DJ Enuff premiered MRG's breakthrough track "Money Come" on HOT 97 in 2022.
Now with the release of It's MRG Not Mr. G, the highly anticipated debut album by the emerging Spanglish Rap star MRG. Featuring artists like Rah Swish, Geezly and others, the album is a collection of significant growth and self-discovery expressed through raw, introspective lyrics that are both deeply personal and universally relatable. Its expansive soundscape effortlessly merges Hip-Hop, Trap, Drill, Reggaeton, and Pop, crafting a truly original sound that bridges MRG’s Caribbean roots and New York upbringing. Singles include the introspective "All On Me (Gambling Addict)", the intense Rah Swish-assisted "Mirame", and the Reggaeton-infused "B.O.M.B.S.", which DJ Self premiered earlier this month on Power 105.1.
