Movie Review: 5 out of 5 Stars | Rated R | Action Packed
This weekend I had the honor to check out the latest installment of the "John Wick" movie franchise. This move was action packed from the beginning until the very end. The first John Wick installment was released in 2014, which follows former hit man (Keanu Reeves) who is forced back into the criminal world in which he previously left. This "John Wick" film series takes us a journey of man who has lost everything he loves and wants to make that the people that took that away; Pay for it.
John Wick 4 has some heavy hitter action stars that definitely show you that age doesn't take away from having undeniable talent and technique. We get a treat when seeing Scott Adkins, Donnie Yen, Keanu Reeves, Hiroyuki Sanada, Marko Zaror, and newcomer Shamier Anderson show off their fighting range and acting abilities.
And speaking of Scott Adkins, this 46 year old British actor has been in countless movies such as "Undisputed 2", "Undisputed 3", "Ninja" where he showcases his martial artis skills, but his role in John Wick is a must see. At first glace, you will not recognize Scott as he is has a much "fatter" appearance for this role. If you ever wondered what a 400lb guy who know martial arts looks like, then you will get to see it here. He shows us his range as an actor, his bad guy charm, and fighting ability in John Wick 4. After many seeing this film, I can say that we will see Scott Adkins getting more of the big screen roles that he deserves.
All in all, if you love action packed movies that don't showcase any agendas; then John Wick 4 is the movie you want to see. It's definitely a roller-coaster worth riding. Check out the trailer below and go see it for yourself.
