C.K.G., also known as the Chi-Town Underground King, began his music journey in a local rap group in Chicago before venturing out as a solo artist. Though the path was challenging, he remained resilient, finding his style and performing in local and out-of-state shows. His persistence paid off, earning him opportunities to work with Grammy-winning artists and producers, leading to notable achievements like being added to Timbaland’s BeatClub and licensing his music for shows such as NBC’s Chicago Fire. Despite setbacks and challenges, C.K.G. continues to thrive as an underground artist, walking the streets of Chicago’s Wild 100s to the Low End and building a reputation for his talent and tenacity.


Throughout his career, C.K.G. has drawn inspiration from legendary artists such as Nas, 2Pac, Jay-Z, and LL Cool J, as well as iconic producers like Timbaland and Jermaine Dupri. His diverse influences have shaped his approach to music, allowing him to expand beyond hip hop into genres like R&B, pop, and country. Notably, he has received awards such as the ASCAP Plus Award and the LA Music Award, further cementing his place as a versatile and impactful artist. His ability to produce, write, and rap showcases his dedication to creating music that resonates across audiences.


Currently, C.K.G. is working on multiple projects, including two new singles, "Oh Word" and "Chi-Town Posted on The Block Flow," as well as his fourth compilation album, For The Music Supervisors Vol. 4, aimed at showcasing his talents to music licensing professionals. In addition to his music, he’s passionate about discovering and nurturing new talent, particularly singers, to build a strong creative team. With a focus on perseverance and faith, C.K.G. encourages others to work tirelessly toward their dreams, reminding us all that success comes when it’s meant to happen.
